Bucks County Tall Case
Clock
Known also as The Wetherburn Tavern Clock. The design of the case is reflective of English design of the early eighteenth century. It's well-constructred case is typical of back country Pennsylvania cabinetwork. It has a brass and silvered brass dial and an eight-day hourly bell strike movement. The dial incorporates cast brass spandrels, as well as a silvered numeral ring, etched central design and incised rosettes.
This clock is an exact reproduction of the original antique.
Original is circa 1750-1760 Pennsylvania.
