Copied from a handsome solid mahogany table in the collection
of the Williamsburg Foundation. The original was made
in the late eighteenth century in England. Heavy legs
and turnings from single pieces of solid mahogany; legs
hand dovetailed into post and further strengthened at
bottom by hand made iron brace. Post turnings are tenoned
through two inch top support block and made permanently
tight by handmade wedges. Table tops can tilt, making
for easy storage in a corner or against a wall when
not in use. Table tops lock into position by brass catches
